The ARWG will only collect, process and store information about you that you have willingly provided. We aim to be open about collecting this information and clear about what we will use it for. What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We collect personal data when you sign up to our mailing list through the ‘sign up to hear more’ function on this website. When you provide your email address through this site we will only use it to keep you up to date with our plans, campaigns, and activities. This processing and contact is based on our legitimate interests. You can unsubscribe from electronic communications at any time.

We will not process your data for any purpose other than the purposes stated in this privacy policy.

Our legitimate interests - it is necessary for us to read and store your message so that we can respond in the way that you would expect.

Who we share your data with

We will never share or sell your personal data to a third-party organisation for that organisation's own campaigning, marketing or fundraising purposes. Our email list is stored in email service provider Mailchimp, and we use their software to send emails to our mailing list. Mailchimp’s data centres are US-based. It is certified with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and compliant with GDPR.

When you register for an event we hold you will be asked to provide personal data to our events service provider Eventbrite, for the purpose of us administering the event. Eventbrite’s data centres are US-based. It is certified with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and compliant with GDPR.

How long we keep your data

We retain mailing list data for as long as you remain a member of our mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing us with the subject line ‘unsubscribe’ (see contact information below). Event attendee data will be deleted within one month of the relevant event unless you opt in to allow us to retain it.

Rights you have over your data

You have a range of rights over your data, a full summary of your legal rights can be found on the Information Commissioner’s website.

We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time and will publish the most current version on our website.
